HI| Memorandum 2025-3LIC, from the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division, announces new licensing requirements for third-party administrators (TPAs) involved with travel insurance under the Hawaii Travel Insurance Act, effective July 1, 2025. TPAs selling, underwriting, or adjusting travel insurance in Hawaii must now designate a licensed individual producer with property and casualty authority as their responsible party and provide that person’s details to the state. Existing TPAs must submit this information via email, while new applicants must use the updated July 2025 “Form TPA Checklist” and submit documentation online.
