FL| The Florida Surplus Lines Service Office (FSLSO) has announced that two surplus lines insurers are out of compliance with Florida Statute 626.931. Continued non-compliance may lead to the withdrawal of these carriers’ eligibility to transact surplus lines business in Florida and potential referral to the Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) for removal from the state’s eligibility list.
The following insurers are at risk and will be removed from FSLSO’s filing platform, SLIP+, on August 15th if requirements are not met:
- MARKEL INSURANCE S.E. (NAIC # AA1340044)
- MARKEL INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (NAIC # AA1121425)
