CA| Commissioner Lara released Bulletin 2024-13 stating that Due to Governor Newsom proclaiming a State -of-Emergency due to the Mountain Fire in Ventura County, on November 7, 2024, no admitted or non-admitted insurer shall issue a notice of cancellation or non-renewal due to wildfire risk for one year, starting on November 7, 2024, for any policy of residential property insurance in the following ZIP Codes:
- 91360, 91381, 93001, 93003, 93004, 93010, 93012, 93015, 93021, 93022, 93023, 93030, 93033, 93036, 93040, 93060, 93063, 93065, 93066
All admitted and non-admitted insurers writing policies of residential property insurance in California must offer to rescind any notices of cancellation or non-renewal issued due to wildfire risk since the Governor’s November 7, 2024 emergency declaration.
