Colorado Connect to centralize all health plan renewal notices for 2026, aiming for simpler, clearer communication with enrollees

CO| The Colorado Division of Insurance Bulletin No. B-4.152 outlines new procedures for renewal notices for off-exchange Silver Enhanced Savings and non-subsidized health benefit plans sold through Colorado Connect for the 2026 plan year. Under this bulletin, all renewal notices will be generated and distributed centrally by Colorado Connect, relieving carriers from the responsibility of preparing or issuing these notices, in order to ensure uniformity, accuracy, and minimize member confusion following program changes made during the August 2025 legislative session.

Key Points:

  • For 2026, carriers selling health plans through Colorado Connect no longer need to issue their own renewal notices; Colorado Connect will handle all notifications directly to enrollees.
  • Carriers must ensure their representatives are aware of this change and can direct any enquiries to the official renewal communications from Colorado Connect.
