CO| Colorado Division of Insurance Bulletin B-4.159, issued September 9, 2026, requests information from any insurer offering Medicare Advantage plans in Colorado that will reduce a plan’s service area or cease offering services in particular Colorado counties for the 2027 calendar year. Affected carriers must email their response by close of business on Thursday, October 1, 2026, to DORA_INS_RulesandRecords@state.co.us and Sean.Luna@state.co.us, identifying the insurer, each affected plan and plan number, the counties where coverage will no longer be available, the number of impacted members by plan and county, and a copy of the member notice explaining the reduction and options for selecting another Medicare plan and/or obtaining Medigap coverage. The Division states that the request is intended to help ensure beneficiaries receive accurate information; the bulletin is guidance rather than a binding legal norm and is scheduled to be repealed January 1, 2027.
