OR| The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services issued an order dated August 30, 2026, extending its July 31, 2026 Wildfire Emergency Order for an additional 30 days, with the possibility of further extensions under ORS 731.870(2). The extension continues protections for insurance policyholders in the original order’s designated “Affected Areas,” requiring insurers to maintain specified claims-reporting and policyholder-communication practices, provide a premium-payment grace period that lasts at least until the emergency order expires, and follow restrictions and directives concerning cancellations and nonrenewals of active policies. The order was issued by DCBS Director Sean O’Day and signed by Insurance Commissioner and Administrator TK Keen.
