HI| Hawaii Insurance Division Memorandum 2026-9PC, dated September 17, 2026, requires all insurers that currently write—or have written at any time since 2010—residential hurricane coverage in Hawai‘i to complete the Division’s Hurricane Insurance Data Call Worksheet. The request is intended to obtain Hawai‘i-specific residential hurricane information that is not separately captured in insurers’ statutory financial filings, supporting the Commissioner’s oversight of rates and compliance with rate regulation. The memorandum states that information submitted in response to the data call is confidential and privileged under Hawai‘i law, including protection from subpoena, discovery, and use as evidence in private civil actions. The worksheet itself is unchanged from the prior year except that the reporting period has been extended from 2010–2024 to 2010–2025. Completed worksheets must be emailed to RPAdatacall@dcca.hawaii.gov, with “2025 Hurricane Data Call” in the subject line, by December 31, 2026; questions may be directed to Property and Casualty Program Manager Grant Shintaku at gshintak@dcca.hawaii.gov.
