MI | The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services today issued Order No. 2023-17-M. Following the end of the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE), Michigan will resume Medicare eligibility redeterminations on April 1, 2023. To ensure that individuals whose enrollments lapsed during the PHE have access to affordable insurance, Michigan orders all insurers that offer Medicare Supplement policies to guarantee their issue for individuals who meet specific criteria for the duration of a special open enrollment period.
