MO| Missouri’s September 29, 2026, memorandum confirms that workers’ compensation administrative tax and surcharge rates and the Second Injury Fund (SIF) surcharge will remain unchanged for calendar year 2027. The memorandum also notes the expiration of the SIF supplemental surcharge and provides an update on WC Connect, the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s system modernization project.
- Administrative tax and surcharge: Remain at 1.5% for 2027, supporting administration of Missouri’s workers’ compensation program.
- Second Injury Fund: The SIF surcharge remains at 3.0% for 2027. The supplemental surcharge, set at 0% for 2026, sunsets on December 31, 2026.
- WC Connect modernization: More than 90% of system integration test scenarios have been initially executed. User acceptance testing will follow successful completion of integration testing, with production rollout planned through multiple releases; the memorandum does not specify a go-live date.
