NV| Nevada Division of Insurance Bulletin 25-006 advises that, under SB 292 from the 83rd Legislative Session, insurers offering Medicare supplement policies must allow Medicare beneficiaries under age 65 who qualify due to disability or end-stage renal disease to purchase any Medigap plan offered to new insureds age 65 or older, without imposing restrictions or limitations that do not equally apply to those 65+ enrollees, and warns that failure to comply may constitute a violation of SB 292 and Nevada’s Unfair Trade Practices Act (NRS 686A), subject to investigation, administrative action, and possible market conduct examinations, as the Division intends to monitor the market for compliance.
