SC| South Carolina DOI has issued a mandatory 2026 data call to all authorized life, accident, and health insurers to report Paid Family Leave Insurance experience so it can prepare an annual legislative report required under Title 38, Section 103.
Key Points:
- Insurers with a filed/approved paid family leave product (as defined in §§38-103-10 and 38-103-30) must complete the Department’s Excel template with coverage data for June 1–July 31 for each of the last three years (2023–2026), including IIPRC-filed products, and email it to LAHDataCall@doi.sc.gov by August 31, 2026.
- Insurers licensed for life and/or disability income in South Carolina that do not have an approved paid family leave product for the 2026 reporting period must submit a signed “Paid Family Leave Zero Report Statement” by email to LAHDataCall@doi.sc.gov.
- All submissions must be in Excel format, will be treated as confidential and used only in aggregated form for public disclosure, and questions or further information are directed to the Department’s website (doi.sc.gov/datacall) and LAHDataCall@doi.sc.gov.
