Beginning January 1, 2020, all persons or entities acting as a pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) in New Hampshire must register with the State of New Hampshire Insurance Department no later than March 1, 2020.
Bulletin Docket No: INS 19-028-AB lists the full definition of who is considered to be a true PBM, and those professionals who are not considered PBMs. Registrations must be renewed annually by March 1. An annual report must be submitted prior to the renewal date. Annual data reports must be filed in an electronic workbook – see administrative rule INS 2704.04(c). PBM registrations will not be renewed if the annual data report has not been submitted.
