NY | The Excess Line Association of New York (ELANY) today published Bulletin No. 2018-35. This bulletin announces recent legislative actions that impact excess line brokers. Specifically:
- A8484-A/S6445-A has passed. The law creates uniform renewal dates for broker business entity licenses. The law currently will take effect on July 1, 2021, but further clarification may be pending.
- Governor Cuomo also vetoed A1683-B/S2526-B. This bill would have permitted delivery of P&C insurance notices and documents under certain criteria.
