CT | The Connecticut Insurance Department has issued Bulletin IC-44.
The purpose of this Bulletin is to inform you that the Connecticut Insurance Department (the “Department”) has agreed to participate in a consolidated approach designed to permit insurers subject to the U.S. Treasury and insurance regulators from all states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories (collectively, the “States”) to respond to an annual Terrorism Risk Insurance Data call (the “Data Call”) by submitting the same information to the U.S. Treasury and the States. The Data Call will allow States to collect information related to terrorism risk insurance from insurers using the Joint Reporting Templates to allow state insurance regulators to monitor the affordability and availability of insurance coverage for acts of terrorism and assess insurers’ financial exposure to terrorism risk, among other objectives.
