MI | The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services today issued Bulletin 2020-41-INS/BT/CF/CU. It contains updated information regarding the Department’s COVID-19 pandemic response. The changes reflect the recent court ruling in In re Certified Questions (Midwest Inst of Health v Governor), Docket No. 161492.
The decision impacts Executive Orders issued under the Emergency Powers of the Governor Act. The DIFS is currently reviewing additional bulletins, orders, and other guidance in response to the decision.
The following emergency orders remain in effect at this time:
- Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Emergency Order “Gathering Prohibition and Face Covering Order” (issued October 9, 2020)
- Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) Emergency Rules “Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19)” (issued October 14, 2020)
