LA | The Louisiana Department of Insurance today announced changes to an Advisory Letter and two Bulletins. Each of these deals with a particular regulatory procedure. Click on the links below for further information:
- Advisory Letter 2016-02 (originally issued on July 7, 2016) is revised and reissued. This letter outlines the process for mandatory registration of business entities acting as insurance producers. It is revised primarily to clarify that every person who controls 10% or more of a resident business entity, directly or indirectly, must be registered under the business entities’ license.
- Bulletin 09-10 (originally issued on December 1, 2009) is revised and reissued. It concerns the mandatory electronic submission of producer appointments/terminations.
- Bulletin 09-11 (also originally issued on December 1, 2009) is revised and reissued. It concerns the mandatory electronic submission of address changes.
