VA | The Virginia State Corporation Commission has issued Administrative Order 12144 which states:
By submissions received November 2, 2021 for Personal and Commercial Auto came the applicant, on behalf of the subscribers to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, and filed with and requested the approval of the Commissioner of Insurance the following amendments to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan Manual:
Filing No.: VA 21-16 and VA 21-17 – Amended Rule 5 to reflect changes to premium rounding for uninsured, including underinsured motorist and in the event of cancellation by the insurer.
NOW, ON THIS DAY the Commissioner, having considered the recommendation of the staff of the Bureau of Insurance that the proposed filing is proper and not in conflict or inconsistent with the laws of this Commonwealth, is of the opinion, finds and orders:
(1) THAT THE PROPOSED amendments to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan Manual for writing insurance upon applicants assigned by the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, are reasonable, and should be, and they hereby are, approved in this Commonwealth for use by the subscribers to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, for new and renewal policies effective on and after September 1, 2022.
