VA | The Virginia State Corporation Commission has issued Administrative Order 12135 which states:
For amendment to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan Manual of rules, classifications, territories, rates and additional charges, to provide for writing insurance upon applicants assigned by the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan.
By submissions received May 24, 2021 for Personal and Commercial Auto came the applicant, on behalf of the subscribers to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, and filed with and requested the approval of the Commissioner of Insurance the following amendments to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan Manual:
Filing No(s).: VA 21-09 and VA 21-10:
Plan sections, rating rules, and base rates for Personal and Commercial Auto are amended to reflect minimum financial responsibility limits of $30,000/60000 bodily injury, $20,000 property damage and an $80,000 combined single limit.
NOW, ON THIS DAY the Commissioner, having considered the recommendation of the staff of the Bureau of Insurance that the proposed filing is proper and not in conflict or inconsistent with the laws of this Commonwealth, is of the opinion, finds and orders:
(1)THAT THE PROPOSED amendments to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan Manual for writing insurance upon applicants assigned by the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, are reasonable, and should be, and they hereby are, approved in this Commonwealth for use by the subscribers to the Virginia Automobile Insurance Plan, for new and renewal policies effective on and after January 1, 2022.
