WA| Washington Office of the Commissioner announces adoption of the Out-of-State Title Records Storage rule R 2021-20 on December 1, 2021. The rule takes effect on January 1, 2022. Current state law on out-of-state title records storage requirements mandates that title insurance companies and agents, who conduct the business of an escrow agent, must keep records of all transactions. These records must be maintained in Washington unless otherwise approved by the commissioner.
